With 10+ years of experience in game development and prototyping, I’ve focused on creating engaging and user-centered experiences. My work has involved everything from conceptualizing game mechanics to refining user interfaces, always with an emphasis on intuitive, immersive designs that keep players invested.
Background
Games can be designed to address real-world issues such as education, training, healthcare, mental health, disaster response training and social issues. They are particularly valuable in education. By leveraging their power, players can acquire new skills and knowledge in a fun, memorable way. Ideas are communicated through rules and mechanics, not just through story or visuals, providing insights that would be difficult to convey through traditional methods. Interactive Systems such as games are able to not only educate, but also have the potential to improve lives and even save them. I have a soft spot for role-playing and tabletop games, particularly for their social and mechanical dimensions. The collaborative nature of these games fosters teamwork and builds meaningful connections with others. What I enjoy most, however, is the creative process of designing custom monsters, mechanics, and systems, bringing unique and engaging elements to the gameplay experience.
